About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: The responsibilities of the Assistant Product Manager II is to assist the Project Manager with TAS projects including turnkey construction projects to ensure on budget, on schedule project performance. The APM II is the customer advocate to ensure accurate and on-time delivery. The APM II plays proactive role in problem identification and resolution by highlighting these areas and assisting other departments in solving issues which affect project performance. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages major tasks or functions of a project Assigned to projects with low to moderate level of complexity with support Serves as frequent customer interface at the technical and commercial task level Serves as frequent interface with internal resources at the technical and commercial task level Work closely with assigned Product Managers to determine cradle-to-grave project schedules. May manage small projects with a contract value of up to $5M, with support and mentoring by a PM or Sr. PM. 2 Perform other tasks as assigned by TAS. Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, including NEC, ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA. Broad technical proficiency across HVAC principles, civil/structural/mechanical design, power wiring, controls architecture, and modular system design and manufacturing. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and database tools. EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program would be a plus. P.C. or PE, or PMP license/certification would be a plus. A substitution of military leadership and/or technical work experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering or Project Management. Familiarity with packaged equipment is preferred. Project experience in a similar role with activities on a project or directly supporting the activities of a project, ideally within modular data center infrastructure or power systems environments. Project cost estimating, project management, construction management experience would be a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading.
