About The Position
The Assistant Pro Shop Manager at Cedar plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the pro shop operates efficiently and effectively. This position supports daily operations, inventory management, and customer engagement within a fast-paced hospitality and recreation environment. Working closely with the Pro Shop Manager, this role helps implement merchandising, marketing strategies, and promotional events to drive sales and enhance the guest experience. The Assistant Manager also supports training and mentoring team members to maintain high standards of service and product knowledge. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment that encourages repeat visits and fosters a strong sense of community among guests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Experience in a pro shop, golf environment, or sporting goods retail
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily pro shop operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Oversee inventory levels, merchandising, and product displays to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing shop
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with product selection and inquiries
- Support the Pro Shop Manager in developing and executing marketing strategies and promotions
- Train, coach, and mentor staff on service standards and product knowledge
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment
