About The Position

St. Joseph Catholic School, a diocesan school within the Catholic School System of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, is seeking an Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of July 1, 2026. The school serves as a beacon of Catholic education in West Tampa, dedicated to providing a faith-filled education that guides students toward their goals of College and Heaven through righteous actions motivated by the love of God. Currently, the school enrolls 280 students across grades PK through eighth.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to providing a Catholic education of the highest quality, ensuring that St. Joseph students continue to be on the path to College and Heaven
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead the school into the future
  • Be a practicing Catholic
  • Possess (or be eligible to receive) a State of Florida teaching certificate, including required graduate coursework in educational leadership
  • Have a minimum of seven years of experience teaching or experience leading in a school setting
  • Pass Level II Fingerprinting and complete Safe Environment training and all necessary training per DOSP requirements
