About The Position

The Assistant Forecasting Planner supports the planning and inventory strategy by ensuring product decisions are driven by performance insights and demand trends. This role focuses on analyzing assortment productivity, optimizing style and size allocations, and adjusting orders to align with selling patterns and business goals.

Requirements

• Understanding of a retail product assortment, breadth and depth, promotional pricing, entrance and exit strategies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with solid Excel skills
• Retail Math experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Organization skills- ability to manage time, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete all assigned tasks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• BS/BA Degree – Business, Merchandising, Analytics, Planning

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Dynamics AX- ERP system knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze assortment performance to assess style productivity, identify opportunities, and recommend strategic shifts in ordered units that optimize sales and inventory efficiency
• Place and refine size-level orders by reviewing selling trends, demand patterns, and stock positions to ensure accurate and responsive allocations
• Proactively monitor delivery timelines and inventory levels, identifying potential delays or overstock risks and implementing timely solutions to minimize business impact
• Manage purchase order maintenance and shipment tracking within the inventory system, ensuring data accuracy, visibility, and consistent follow-up
