Job Summary: The Assistant Planner collaborates and strategizes with the Sales Team and their external retail partners to increase sales, achieve company objectives, maintain excellent working relationships, and assist the Senior Sales Planning Manager in retailer needs. The Assistant Planner’s goal is to assist in developing, managing, and executing strategies that maximize sales potential and minimize risks in order to drive profitability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sales reporting, inventory management and database maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years experience in retail sales planning or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to demonstrate independent decision-making and problem solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive team player attitude
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sr Planning Manager and Sr Account Manager to achieve net sales goals
  • Own retailer sku creation and maintenance
  • Publish weekly sales reports to recap business trends and stock position
  • Analyze weekly inventory position and communicate key findings to internal and external partners
  • Assists in ad-hoc sales analysis recaps
  • Maintain retailer promotional and activation calendars to help drive sales strategy
  • Assist in tracking no cost purchase orders
  • Develops strong relationships with retailers and leverages these relationships for our mutual interests
  • Coordinates with Sr Planning Manager and Sr Account Manager on purchasing, forecasting, and inventory management efforts to ensure that product data, pricing, and promotions are accurate, timely, and complete
