About The Position

The Assistant PAAS Supervisor, reporting to the Operations Coordinator, welcomes and assists patrons, enforces theatre policy, and assists in supervising the PAAS staff at the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford.

Requirements

  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with patrons and staff
  • Maintain the discipline and morale of the staff
  • Manage up to 30 employees
  • Existing knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the following:
  • Layout of theater and grounds
  • Event times and program information
  • Ticket information
  • Proper use of 2-way radios
  • Ability to:
  • Work outside
  • Bend, stand and walk (including hilly terrain and stairs) for up to duration of entire work shift
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Sit for up to a couple of hours at a time during work shift
  • Delegate duties as needed
  • For Cart Operators:
  • Current Driver’s License
  • 2-3 years of driving experience
  • Proper training of cart operation

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising up to 30 employees
  • Answer questions from employees and patrons
  • Control pathways for wheelchairs and medicals
  • Operate 2-way radios
  • Respond to staff radio calls
  • Keep accurate time records
  • Assist in training and disciplining of staff on proper timekeeping procedures, including approving timecards on a timely basis to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in training and scheduling employees to take appropriate meal and rest breaks
  • Record accurate nightly incident reports
  • Review Field Interview Reports
  • Enforce theatre policies
  • Assist in training employees on Hollywood Bowl & Ford Theatre policies and procedures
  • Supervise emergency medical transport at direction of medical personnel
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times during medical transport; may encounter bio fluids during the process
  • Assist in the operation of both venues
  • Assist other departments when necessary and as directed by a supervisor
  • Respond to a wide range of customer service issues with sensitivity and care
  • Respond to patron complaints
  • General duties as assigned
