About The Position

The University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a board eligible or board certified full-time academic Plastic Surgeon to join the Division of Plastic Surgery. This role offers the opportunity to develop a comprehensive plastic surgery practice within a major academic health system, with a focus on reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery. Microsurgery fellowship training is an asset for this position but not required for individuals with experience. This position provides the opportunity to develop an aesthetic plastic surgery practice based on candidate interests. The University of Maryland provides a broad, multidisciplinary clinical environment, with access to complex reconstruction and oncologic patients across the medical system. This position offers practice opportunities at the University of Maryland downtown campus and affiliated community hospitals, offering scheduling and site flexibility. Faculty work closely with colleagues in all facets of surgery, allowing for a diverse and stimulating practice. The position is ideally suited for a surgeon who values clinical excellence, teaching, and academic growth. Faculty will participate in the education of plastic surgery residents in our combined University of Maryland/Johns Hopkins residency program, as well as general surgery residents, fellows, and medical students. Requirements

  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited training program in Plastic Surgery
  • BE/BC in Plastic Surgery
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Maryland State medical license
