About The Position

Overview: The School of Education at Quinnipiac University seeks a dynamic and visionary Assistant or Associate Professor and Director of Special Education to lead and advance our Special Education programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to excellence in teaching, and a forward-thinking approach to Special Education. This position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment and is scheduled to begin in July 2025. The candidate will be required to regularly attend university and school meetings, activities, and events in person. About the School: The Quinnipiac University School of Education offers innovative programs leading to master’s degrees in elementary and secondary teacher education, instructional design and special education. Additionally, the School offers a sixth-year diploma in Educational Leadership. Requirements

Earned doctorate in special education or a related education field from an accredited university
A minimum of 5 years or more experience as a K-12 special educator in the public schools
Significant online teaching experience and knowledge of the design and implementation of online instruction
Higher education teaching experience required
