About The Position

Golden Plains Community Hospital is currently seeking an Assistant RN Director for our OBGYN Department/Women's Center. The Assistant Director has multiple roles and functions, including caregiver, decision maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher. The functions include assessment of the patient's nursing needs, initiation of the plan of nursing care, implementation of the plan of care, and evaluation of the process, using the nursing process. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe, and professional practice. The Assistant Manager promotes the dignity and quality of nursing care provided to the patient. The Assistant Manager assists the Manager with administrative duties, upon request. Responsible for collaborating with the nursing staff/other disciplines as needed in order to assist each patient in obtaining their desired goal by ensuring implementation of appropriate processes and plans of care. QUALIFCATIONS: The following qualifications or equivalents are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: Education and formal training: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Currently registered in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor Degree preferred. Current CPR certification, ACLS and PALS Work Experience: Two years of OBGYN experience preferred. Must be able to provide direct and supervise patient care. Demonstrated leadership, teaching and management skills. Attend all mandatory meetings. Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Currently registered in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR certification, ACLS and PALS

  • Attend all mandatory meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
