About The Position

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Cen ter , the Assistant Nurse Manager, also known internally as Senior Clinical Advisor, will support the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the perioperative setting. Provides essential leadership coverage and support for Weekend Staff What You Will Do Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive nursing environment. Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput. Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development. Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement. Lead by example, fostering respectful communication, collaboration, and professional growth. Support evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Drive effective patient care outcomes and operational performance through transformational leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Valid RN license in Connecticut.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference to nurses with experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma nursing.
  • 1 or more years of management or supervisory experience, such as a charge nurse.
  • BLS/CPR, ACLS, TNCC certifications preferred.
  • Certification support is offered post-hire.
