Requirements
- Registered Nurse with three (3)years ofwork experience, one year of which shall have been in a facility with an NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU.
- Bachelors Of Nursing BSN
- Registered Nurse: CA
- Basic Life Support BLS CPR
Nice To Haves
- Greater than 5 years of experience
- Masters Degree MSN
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP
Responsibilities
- Enforces high patient care standards
- Promotes professional environment and career development as retention strategy. Plans and coordinates educational opportunities through the use of skills lab, developmental programs and educational required programs for department accreditation.
- Prepares and directs patient-care assignments based upon patient acuity and competency of available personnel.
- Thoroughly understands and monitors financial performance: a. Follows daily staffing targets and manages per guidelines and functions independently. b. Communicates effectively with the department director and/or supervisor regarding productivity variance or staffing concerns.
- Monitor staffing decisions to adhere to the established productivity standards for the department. Can articulate expectations and standards.
- Accurately completes missed meal and rest period log. Understands the expectations and how to meet departmental and organizational compliance.
