As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) you will be responsible for developing, achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations.Essential functions to the success of this role include: Consistently promote a positive & healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed. Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation. Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals. Encourage employee participation in decision through shared governance and support change management. Support professional development to improve employee retention.

Requirements

  • 2 years clinical RN experience
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)
  • BSN must be obtained within 2 years of hire
  • Current RN License to practice in state of employment
  • Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
  • Must achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this role
  • Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred
