In addition to advanced specialty and primary care, this facility also includes an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, two pools for aquatic therapy and more. The Assistant Nurse Manager will monitor daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics. A caregiver in this role will work 8-hr shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm with varying start times. Requirements include Saturdays twice per year.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Two years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure quality and safe patient care.
  • Anticipate and resolve patient care and personnel issues.
  • In conjunction with the clinical manager, ensure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education.
  • Perform duties of the RN (Registered Nurse) Ambulatory as needed.
  • Collaborates with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care.
  • Participate and/or coordinates committees, task forces, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in department leadership meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
  • Assume responsibilities of the clinical manager as needed.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding of personnel, annual performance reviews, and performance improvement.
