Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing) or equivalent work experience in molding, painting, or assembly in an automotive or manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering environments.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Systems and standards (ISO, IATF, VDA, OEM).
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to support, coach, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, 8D, Six Sigma, or Shainin.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly and machining.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Travel as needed—up to 30%.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Auditor preferred (VDA, IATF, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit an objective, fair, and professional attitude in line with the MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and positively contribute to team activities.

  • Identify and support training and development opportunities to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to company policies and business objectives.
  • Help meet and uphold all customer quality standards and internal Decostar quality expectations.
  • Assist in enforcing Decostar’s health and safety policies and procedures to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Model and support the MAGNA Charter principles by identifying and addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Promptly address employee health and safety concerns and participate in incident investigations and reporting.
  • Conduct or assist with required safety inspections and ensure team members are adequately trained in safety procedures.
  • Support the Quality Manager in serving as the Customer Management Representative.
  • Collaborate in managing the Quality Engineering team and assist with quality systems development across departments.
  • Help lead or participate in cross-functional team meetings related to quality initiatives, issue resolution, and project updates.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering presentations to management and customers as required.
  • Follow the escalation policy and support production line stoppages when necessary to protect customer interests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
