About The Position

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. Marc Jacobs Fragrances is looking for a Global Assistant Marketing Manager to join our team in New York. Along with the Marketing Sr. Manager, the Global Assistant Marketing Manager will put forth innovative and inspiring products that ultimately aid in the growth of the brand as well as be responsible for all touch points during the process of development (Concept Ideation – Bottle and Packaging Development – Fragrance Development – Merchandising – Digital/Social – Promotional tools) working with the affiliates to deliver robust, innovative, on-brand and high-quality launch and activations programs. You will contribute to the total effectiveness of one of the brands’ pillars (and one of the beauty industry’s most iconic fragrance brands), communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive engaged team member. The team consists of Global Marketing Assistant Manager working closely together with several departments such as merchandising, PR and influencer marketing, R&D, trade marketing, education and digital.

Requirements

  • 4-year undergraduate degree.
  • Previous marketing development experience required.
  • Strong Power Point skills.

Responsibilities

  • Execute plans in a timely manner through the entire life cycle of development including but not limited to concept ideation, bottle and packaging development, fragrance development, merchandising, digital/social, and promotional tools.
  • Manage the everyday project tracking while interfacing with all internal multifunctional teams (e.g., Creative, Packaging, Purchasing, Finance) as well as external vendors (Ad Agency, Public Relations agency, Promotional houses).
  • Conduct category and competitive assessment and identify market trends and consumer insights that will help influence strategic business recommendations.
  • Track and communicate all product and packaging submissions and approvals.
  • Prepare R&D, agencies and license briefs to communicate all development needs across the 360 touchpoints.
  • Support the Global Sr. Marketing Manager in creating and writing new product concepts, with respective benchmarks and positioning.
  • Help prepare meetings with senior leadership and fragrance houses, supporting decks creations as well as room set up.
