About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the Hotel Manager, and Hotel Director. Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers. Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening. Attend company meetings as required. Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Counsels, guides, trains and instructs all employees working in the hotel area in their duties. Confers with the sales/marketing department to ensure that the highest room occupancy rates are achieved. Usually handles the critical day-to-day hotel functions, including employee schedules. Maintains effective and efficient department procedures and controls, and ensures that all departments with the hotel operations are scheduled properly for maximum coverage during peak hours Oversees the front desk computer system and coordinates any necessary modifications Showing special recognition of frequent guests. Maintains communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep employees informed of all pertinent information, including sending out a daily newsletter to all employees. Handles complaints from employees and guests in a prompt courteous manner. Assists the Hotel Manager with operating forecasts and other required departmental reports

Requirements

  • Must Have Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with guests, team members, supervisors, and external organizations
  • Must be computer literate with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be self- motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to see, speak clearly and listen carefully in order to communicate with hotel departments and external guests.
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
  • All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
  • Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in most aspects of hotel operations is essential.
  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms
  • Nevada Gaming Registration

Nice To Haves

  • Opera experience is a plus.
  • Previous Manager experienced preferred.
  • Two (2) years of front office supervisory experience is preferred.
