About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of their shift, including cost controls, inventory management, cash handling, and customer relations. This role requires setting an example for the crew by strictly adhering to all company policies and procedures. Key duties encompass staffing, managing paperwork, controlling costs, handling cash, food management, scheduling, maintaining the store's image and standards, providing excellent customer service, ensuring attendance and punctuality, managing transportation, maintaining store cleanliness, marketing efforts, and contributing to overall profitability. Additionally, the Assistant Manager performs general store team member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, conducting inventory, and daily cleaning of the facility and equipment. The position also involves delivery duties, including delivering products, flyers, and door hangers, which necessitates a valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, and strong navigational skills to traverse various terrains and multi-story buildings.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area

  • Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location
  • Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery
