Our restaurant offers the best-paid training program in the industry to put you on the road to success. The Assistant Manager is a critical member of the operations team at Genghis Grill. You would be responsible for impacting the assigned area of responsibility including front-of-house operations, back-of-house operations, running a shift, local marketing, and sales building, safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and security in accordance with company goals. Genghis Grill, bd's Mongolian Grill, and Flat Top Grill comprise Mongolian Concepts, a one-of-a-kind restaurant brand where We Feed Individuality. The premier set of build-your-own stir-fry chains in the United States, Mongolian Concepts is well known for its fresh, hot, and healthy food, and for its style of fun service. Currently, there are 50 locations in 13 states. Fans head over to the Fresh Market Bar where they are greeted with an array of more than 80 delicious, fresh ingredients from which they can build their own bowl. They then hand their bowl to our grill masters who cook their creations to perfection on a large, sizzling, circular grill. It's a centuries-old tradition you can enjoy only at a Mongolian Concepts brand.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills to train, coach, develop and motivate others.
  • Able to make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, speaking, and public speaking.
  • Exceptional organizational and operational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with proven time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism in dealing with staff, customers, and management.
  • Financial skills, including calculating food and labor costs and knowledge of cost-controlling measures.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Extensive background, 5+ years, in high volume full-service restaurant food operations.
  • Valid ServSafe certification.
  • Detailed knowledge of the county, state, and federal health codes.
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations.
  • Minimum high school education.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Runs and manages shifts effectively with a focus on his/her assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and knowledge of customer recovery strategies.
  • Effectively leads, develops, and motivates the team.
  • Delivers a quality product and experience based on brand standards and operating procedures.
  • Conducts effective pre-shift meetings during every shift.
  • Enforces company human resources policies in all aspects of the manager and teammate experience.
  • Enforces all food safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the laws, codes, and guidelines set forth by the FDA and Health Department.
