Summary The Assistant Manager - Strategy & Emerging Accounts supports contract management and governance execution for Emerging Accounts (Non-Hyundai Motor Group). This role coordinates across Commercial, Operations, Legal, Finance, and functional owners to ensure SOWs, service scope, pricing constructs, governance cadence, and performance expectations are properly documented, aligned, and executed.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Management & Governance
  • Support contract lifecycle execution for Emerging Accounts, including MSA/SOW drafting support, renewals, amendments, and change orders, in coordination with Legal and Commercial
  • Prepare and maintain core contract artifacts: scope summaries, assumptions/exclusions, SLA/KPI language, billing triggers, and escalation workflows for internal alignment and review
  • Coordinate governance cadence (QBR/MBR): schedule meetings, compile inputs, document minutes, track actions/decisions/risks, and ensure follow-through with owners
  • Maintain contract repository and controls (versioning, approvals, redline logs) to support compliance with internal approval workflows and delegation of authority
  • KPI & Profitability Oversight
  • Support recurring KPI and financial performance reviews for non-group accounts (margin, accessorials, claims exposure, cost-to-serve)
  • Identify and flag margin risks, scope drift, and operational exceptions ; coordinate corrective action tracking with Commercial/Operations/Finance owners
  • Support contract control mechanisms that protect against unscoped work (rate triggers, thresholds, pass-through rules) by validating alignment between contract terms and actual execution
  • Operating Model/Process Improvement
  • Coordinate with Operations and functional owners to confirm contract requirements align to capability, SOPs, and execution readiness
  • Support implementation of scalable processes that improve governance, billing accuracy, and performance reporting (scope intake, change control, KPI review cadence)
  • Collect gaps and pain points from stakeholders and consolidate mitigation actions (resourcing, SOP, systems/reporting enhancements)
  • Management Reporting
  • Support recurring management reporting for Emerging (non-HMG) accounts developing PowerPoint-ready executive summaries and Excel-based reporting packs covering contract status, governance health, KPI/volume trends, and profitability
  • Maintain standardized dashboards and an issues/actions/decisions log; provide both high-level leadership views and deeper-dive analysis (exceptions, margin drivers, scope drift), escalating execution and profitability risks with recommended next steps in partnership with Commercial, Operations, Finance
  • Ad-Hoc Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Respond to urgent ad-hoc data or document requests, delivering clear, timely outputs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and propose comprehensive templates or workflow enhancements
  • Assist in periodic process reviews, gathering feedback, and updating standard operating procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
