About The Position

Assistant Riverview Managers will help oversee operations, management, and supervision of Riverview concessions. They support the site manager with scheduling of reservations and coordinates programming with program staff. They also act as head manager in the Site Manager’s absence. The Riverview Assistant managers work from April through October.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED. Some college preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Management experience preferred.
• Must possess a demonstrated level of ability and experience in areas of oral and written communications.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to work with people and calm/deescalate tense situations when necessary.
• Must be able to effectively prioritize daily work functions.
• Must have the ability and history of remaining calm and rational when confronted with stressful or volatile situations.
• Must have a positive demeanor when in contact with the public and coworkers.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• The City of Elkhart is a Drug Free Workplace. Therefore, successfully passing a post offer drug screen is required (random drug testing may be conducted after employment).
• Background checks producing acceptable BMV and criminal history reports required.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, schedules and evaluates employees.
• Provides in service training to employees
• Interprets and enforces all departmental rules and policies
• Compiles and balances daily deposits.
• Monitors sales, expenses, and profits.
• Ensures facility safety and cleanliness.
• Addresses customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
• Ensures a positive and welcoming environment for patrons and employees.
• Assists with the planning and execution of events and programs.
• Communicates with the Operations Manager about facility issues and concerns.
• Ensures the facility is thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
• Manages inventory of equipment and supplies.
• All other duties as assigned by the Operations and Facilities Manager.
