About The Position

The Logistics Operation Assistant Manager oversees material control, operating standards, inventory management, and Inbound/ln-House logistics flow. Managing operation staff in day-to-day department activities ensuring MOBIS policies and procedures are conducted to achieve established business goals and objectives in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • Five (5) to (7) years of experience in Just in Sequence production control field in the Automotive industry
  • Experienced in the automotive industry - Plant start-up desired
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities
  • Ability to quickly and accurately report issues that may impact production, including those related to personnel, equipment, or inventory
  • Adaptability & Agility
  • Capable of quickly taking over any team task as needed
  • Able to reallocate resources effectively to maintain continuous production flow

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience (Preferred)
  • Powered Industrial Vehicle experience or certification

Responsibilities

  • Logistics Planning Support development of logistics layouts, including area planning, stock levels, locations, flow, feeding methods, and docks.
  • Assist in designing logistics equipment (racks, high‑racks, special racks, carts, in‑house packaging, dollies).
  • Ensure all tasks follow procedures, including loading/unloading, waste handling, OS&D, foolproof feeding, and count inspections.
  • Analyze man-hours and equipment needs for logistics planning.
  • Conduct strategic supply chain analysis and establish contingency plans.
  • Manage and track KPIs for monthly/weekly logistics reports (stock levels, costs, downtime, shortages).
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee return package management.
  • Report daily activities, issues, and resolutions.
  • Ensure inventory hold locations are properly allocated and clearly labeled.
  • Audit incoming materials per MOBIS procedures.
  • Manage and train warehouse team members according to work instructions.
  • Assign, distribute, and coordinate team workload using independent judgment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team or staffing agency personnel.
  • Promote and ensure workplace safety, including leading or attending safety meetings.
  • Follow all warehouse and production floor safety regulations.
  • Perform all other assigned duties.
