About The Position

Carpinito Brothers is a family-operated company with business operations that include retail and wholesale farm-fresh produce, landscaping materials, and lawn and garden supplies. In addition to our agricultural and retail operations, the company owns a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties. We’re seeking a highly skilled person to help manage and maintain the daily needs of our buildings and utilities across multiple sites as well as assisting with construction and improvement projects. The Assistant Manager of Maintenance and Construction is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our properties. This hands-on role works directly with management, maintenance department, and sub-contractors to perform and manage repairs in all aspects of residential and commercial properties. The anticipated start date for this position is 04/06/26.

Requirements

  • Self-driven, motivated individual with problem solving skills, capable of working with Management, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • 10+ years of construction experience required in Carpentry and various other trades necessary to maintain or improve residential and commercial structures inside and out.
  • This is a working position where providing your own basic hand and power tools are required. Larger specialty tools are provided.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and completing basic residential and commercial repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to lift, climb, kneel, and work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift.

Responsibilities

  • Use mobile app based workorder system.
  • Use a wide range of tools and equipment to complete work.
  • Assist Maintenance department with daily workorder requests, including gathering materials, performing work, and delegating tasks in house or to sub-contractors as needed.
  • Assist Management with larger project workloads.
  • Visually inspect properties on a constant basis for necessary repairs.
  • Use knowledge and experience to complete work independently or with others.
  • Take initiative to complete small to medium sized projects without direct supervision.
  • Use and create As-builts.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls.
  • Document work performed and communicate status updates to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
