Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Drop & Count, the Assistant Manager, Drop & Count, directs, plans, controls and supervises the activities of the drop & count supervisors. Oversees the supervisors with the daily reconciliation paperwork for the Drop, ATM, CDU, soft and chip counts are properly prepared, all information is posted to the on-line accounting system and/or completed manually including all discrepancies are investigated and documented. In addition, accurately follow all policy and procedures, while ensuring compliance with the Gaming Commission’s Tribal Gaming Minimum Internal Controls (TICS) and the Gaming Commission Regulations (GCR), by studying the standards, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions and assures that all Drop & Count Staff members follow the above requirements. Assists in orders and maintain supplies and all necessary equipment for the operation of the Drop & Count. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensures that the day to day operations of the drop & counts for various cost centers are completed. Provides assistant in the following: the monitoring and analyzes of department operations to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy; the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department; the preparation of the budget for the department. Reviews and confirms the purchasing of all count room supplies and equipment essential for the operation of the count room. Supports with special projects and workflow process improvements. 2. Maintains integrity of the count by ensuring that Drop & Count Staff is in compliance with operational procedures, processes and regulations. Inputs soft count and other financial data into an assigned computer system, maintains all automated records; ensures accuracy of input data. Maintains records and logs related to the drop & soft count, money totals, scheduled zones, discrepancies, daily activities and assigned duties. 3. Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year. Collaborates with each team member to define clear, measurable, and aligned goals for the upcoming year. Monitors and advises on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. Completes observations and evaluations as required. Provides training to new and existing staff as needed. Ensures timely and accurate processing of hours worked including regular time, overtime, paid time off (PTO), and holiday hours. Makes necessary corrections for discrepancies such as missed punches, incorrect job codes, or unapproved overtime before payroll deadlines. 4. In the absence of a Drop & Count Supervisor or Drop & Count Staff must be able to complete their vital responsibilities. 5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
