About The Position

Hospitality Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Assistant Manager toassist with the maintenance functions at 3 of our propertie s. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety,functionality, and appearance of the property, while supervising a team of maintenance professionals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool/hot tubs.
  • Responsible for ordering and billing.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor expenses and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with hotel management to support overall operations and guest experience.
  • Participate in Vail Resorts Best Practice Groups, Maintenance specific, property specific and market wide leadership team meetings, along with resort/company special events.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally to staff, guests, and homeowners. Respond and engage with customer suggestions, complaints and recognition.
  • Deliver the "Experience of a Lifetime" to our staff, guests, and homeowners.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations for Vail Resorts and lead a team to the same standard.
