PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Under the direction of the Location Manager, the Assistant Location Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager with coordinating all purchases, operations, public relations and control activities within the location in a safe and profitable manner. Cooperate with other supervisory personnel to ensure efficiency and overall company growth.

Requirements

  • Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the purchase of grain and report transactions in a timely manner.
  • Assist with weighing and testing of grain-inbound and outbound.
  • Assist with payments of grain purchases.
  • Responsible for understanding the working knowledge of all records relevant to your location including but not limited to purchases, sales, long and short position, storage position, grain contracts and inventory.
  • Ability to write purchase contracts on the computer and basic knowledge of the computer system.
  • Assist with the grain receiving, storage, grain drying and shipping of grain.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory system to protect grain.
  • Responsible for monitoring the grade and condition of all grain on hand.
  • Responsible for making sure the facility and equipment are clean and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Monitor compliance of all safety activities and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
  • Attends all required meetings and training programs.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.
