About The Position

The Department of Media is looking for a full-time non-tenure line (contract) faculty member. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to teach a broad range of media courses. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. The Department of Media is looking for a full-time non-tenure line (contract) faculty member. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to teach a broad range of media courses. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to teach in the following concentration areas: Media Production and/or Post-Production and Film and Media Studies. Topics include but are not limited to: audio and video, motion graphics, visual effects, editing, cinematography, and virtual production, film studies. The successful candidate will also be able to teach courses in our department core curriculum as well. Departmental core curriculum includes Foundations of Media, Media and the Creative Process, Media and Culture Studies, Scriptwriting, Copywriting, Media Law and Media Ethics.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in media or a related field by date of appointment or bachelor's degree in media or related field with 7-10 years industry experience.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience at the university/college level.
• Master’s degree in media or a related field, with five to seven years industry experience or Terminal Degree in media (Ph.D., Ed.D., M.F.A.) or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Faculty member will teach the equivalent of a 4/4 load and teach courses in our Film and Media Studies area along with courses in our Media core curriculum
