About The Position

Temp Staff Management Group is seeking an Assistant Inventory Manager for our client in East Hanover, NJ. Schedule: 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday Pay Rate: $22 - $24 / hour Job Summary: The Assistant Inventory Manager supports daily inventory operations by maintaining accurate system records, reconciling data between warehouse and ERP systems, and assisting with audits and cycle counts. This role works closely with purchasing, accounting, supply chain, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance, and efficient material flow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in inventory management within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management best practices
  • Proficiency in metric-to-standard mathematical conversions
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in warehouse or inventory operations (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and basic Macros
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active warehouse duties (standing, walking, reaching)
  • Experience operating material handling equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations between the company’s ERP system and QR warehouse systems to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring all physical transactions are properly recorded
  • Support Purchasing through routine vendor communication and order tracking
  • Execute Master Data updates, including new item setup and ongoing system maintenance
  • Coordinate with accounting, supply chain, and sales teams to support smooth daily inventory operations
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits, reporting, and analysis
  • Conduct cycle counts and lead investigations into inventory discrepancies
  • Assist warehouse staff in following inventory best practices and procedures
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials in compliance with company standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and accuracy
