Position Summary: Incumbent works in a high volume Referral Center to establish, support and maintain relationships with internal and external referral entities, such as medical groups, IPA's, Health Plans and community physicians.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Understanding of medical terminology as well as insurance programs and payors
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in a Customer Service position within the health care environment
  • Knowledge of hospital based registration/scheduling system to register patients
  • Demonstrated skill to communicate via telephone and handle extremely high volume of phone calls
  • Ability to problem solve, negotiate and research for answers
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional

Nice To Haves

  • Previous call center experience
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
