Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Leadership: Assist the HSE Director in developing and executing global HSE strategy, policies, and objectives. Serve as acting HSE Director in their absence. Support global leadership in establishing a safety-first culture across all facilities and operations. Collaborate with corporate, regional, and site management teams to ensure consistent program deployment. Health & Safety Management: Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analyses for manufacturing, logistics, and field service operations. Support development and implementation of workplace safety programs (machine safety, ergonomics, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, PPE, etc.). Ensure emergency response procedures, incident investigations, and corrective actions are executed effectively. Monitor compliance with OSHA, ISO, and international safety standards. Environmental Management: Assist in environmental compliance programs, including air emissions, wastewater, waste management, hazardous materials, and sustainability initiatives. Track and report environmental performance metrics across global operations. Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification efforts. Training & Development: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors. Mentor and guide site-level HSE staff and supervisors. Promote continuous improvement through workshops, audits, and engagement programs. Auditing & Reporting: Lead and support HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Collect, analyze, and report HSE performance metrics and KPIs to leadership. Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and executive management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional certifications strongly desired: CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent. Experience: 8+ years of progressive HSE experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing or industrial environments. Global or multi-site experience preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and international HSE regulations. Experience managing HSE teams and implementing large-scale programs. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment. Proficiency in HSE management systems, auditing tools, and reporting software.
