Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families and adults we serve. The Assistant Housing Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring effective treatment team management, the timely delivery of services, and the monitoring and management of individuals in the Supported Housing Program. Ensures services delivered are consistent with individual recovery plans and are delivered in a timely and professional manner. The Assistant Housing Clinical Manager assists the housing liaisons with critical cases and crisis intervention. This position maintains a small caseload of higher needs individuals in the program. The Assistant Housing Manager ensures team compliance with all performance metrics, payer, or contract documentation requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in mental health, including a minimum of 3 years in management.
  • Basic math skills required. Ability to work with reports and numbers. Ability to calculate moderately complex figures and amounts to accurately report activities and budgets.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to organize workflow and develop efficient procedures. Ability to detect operational shortcomings and develop solutions to correct problems.
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain a Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment. Liability insurance is required if an employee will operate a personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center’s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Possession of an advanced licensure, such as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Certified Social Worker is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision over the Housing clinical staff.
  • Provides guidance, direction, and supervision to staff to ensure quality care and implementation of processes.
  • Ensures follow up with assigned program participants who missed multiple scheduled appointments.
  • Aids with creating a plan for crisis situations or for individuals who are at risk for loss of housing.
  • Maintains a small caseload of higher needs consumers.
  • Possesses knowledge of mental illness, symptomology, DSM-V diagnostic criteria and treatment methods.
  • Arrange and conduct all team meetings to discuss housing concerns, audit documentation, and provide continued staff training.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous quality improvement (CQI).
  • Ensures that an on-going CQI process is developed and implemented and provides oversight to the CQI process.
  • Develops and implements strategies for performance improvement related to key performance indicators, including but not limited to, engagement of caseloads, charting timeliness, and quality improvement.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures including grant regulations, the Fair Housing Act, and general contractual requirements.
  • Attends administrative meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  • Conducts special projects and studies as directed.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Adheres to documentation requirements related to Quality Management and regulatory agencies, such as CARF, CCBHC, and the Texas Administrative Code.
  • Responsible for a creative collaborative working environment in conjunction with the Housing Operations team.
  • Provides clinical supervision, education and training as required by various contracts and regulatory agencies.
  • Establishes and maintains the highest standard of quality care and ethical practice.
  • Participate in the hiring of open positions.
  • Schedules interview appointments with hiring managers and the candidates.
  • Exercises sound judgement and maintains current knowledge of the company’s organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
