Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications; strong computer literacy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve problems effectively.
  • Highly responsible, reliable, and committed to excellence.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • University or College degree in a related discipline (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring service standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Spend time on the floors with your team, providing hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to ensure service excellence and team engagement.
  • Monitor labor costs and optimize scheduling to maximize departmental productivity.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs in collaboration with the Director of Engineering and Director of Housekeeping.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns, documenting issues and coordinating with appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Manage the departmental budget responsibly, ensuring fiscal accountability.
  • Foster effective communication and team development through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
