The Foundation for Hispanic Education is committed to providing high-quality after-school programs that inspire, engage, and support students. We focus on creating a safe and enriching environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are looking for a high-energy, "people person" for our after-school programs. This isn't a desk job. You will be on the ground, in the hallways, and in the classrooms, building relationships with high school students and convincing them that our programs are the place to be. If you are an extrovert who loves networking, community building, and creating opportunities for youth, we want you on our team.

Requirements

  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish/English (Required).
  • Personality: Highly extroverted, proactive, and comfortable initiating conversations with high school students and families.

  • Transportation: Valid Driver’s License and clean insurance record (Required for driving school vehicles).
  • Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college (Education, Youth Development, or related field preferred).
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to flex hours for evening events or weekend community outreach.

Nice To Haves

  • MakerSpace Experience: Experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, or DIY crafting/tech projects.

Responsibilities

  • Student Recruitment & Outreach: Actively "table" during lunch and after school. Walk the campus to engage students, give classroom presentations, and build genuine rapport to drive program enrollment.
  • Relationship & Partnership Building: Contact local businesses and community leaders to establish new partnerships and internship opportunities for our students.
  • Data & Insights: Gather and report detailed data on student interests and attendance. You will be the "eyes and ears" on campus, reporting back on what students want so we can build relevant programming.
  • Marketing & Communication: Create engaging flyers and digital content using Canva. Manage parent/staff communication via email and ParentSquare.
  • Student Supervision & Safety: Assist with lunch supervision and ensure a safe, productive environment during program hours.
  • Field Trip Leadership: Act as the lead supervisor for field trips, including driving school vans/vehicles to transport students.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain meticulous records in Google Sheets/Docs and attend school staff meetings to ensure program alignment.
