Your day as a Wellness and Health Director As a new Assistant Wellness and Health Director at The Heritage at Twin Creeks, you will dive into creating personalized wellness plans for residents, leading health education seminars, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. You'll be responsible for assessing the needs of each resident, developing fitness programs, and monitoring their progress towards holistic health goals. Your role will involve fostering a supportive and empowering environment where seniors can thrive in their well-being journey. Would you be a great Assistant Wellness and Health Director? To excel as Assistant Wellness and Health Director at The Heritage at Twin Creeks, you must be proficient in communication across various levels and with external contacts. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse with a current license in the state for which work is desired. The role demands the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making and adapt to new methods to enhance existing practices. Critical thinking skills are vital for defining problems, analyzing data, and drawing valid conclusions to inform wellness strategies. Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet the dynamic needs of our residents and the organization. Two years' experience in geriatric nursing and/or LVN or LPN Degree in nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred. Minimum of two years nursing administration experience, preferably in a long-term care setting. Additional Role Responsibilities This position includes supervising caregivers and medication technicians, ensuring they follow both your direction and the direction of the Health and Wellness Director. You will be responsible for holding staff accountable to care standards and policies, as well as providing timely follow-up and updates to families regarding resident care. You will work under the leadership of the Health and Wellness Director and Executive Director, supporting the overall mission and care philosophy of the Heritage at Twin Creeks.
