This position provides general oversight and coordination of harvest monitoring, field sampling activities and reporting associated with Tribal Harvest monitoring and biological sampling of the catch during tribal fisheries. May assist the Harvest Coordinator to coordinate the schedules and activities of up to five (5) fishery harvest monitors in Zone 6 of the Columbia River and YN Tributaries. Assist with planning, scheduling and conduct fishery harvest monitoring, data collection, data entry, in season management, data analysis, and basic reporting. May plan, schedule, and participate in basic fishery biological sampling including but not limited to length, weight, scale collection, recovery of Coded Wire Tags (CWT), Passive Integrated Tags (PIT), and genetic samples. May assist with the planning and scheduling of hatchery surplus events. The incumbent also may assist the Harvest Coordinator in briefing Tribal Policy Makers and providing recommendations for tribal fishing seasons. May assist with the management of the gillnet site registration database.
