About Palm Aire Country Club Palm Aire Country Club is a privately owned country club located in Sarasota, Florida, along the Manatee/Sarasota corridor just minutes from downtown Sarasota, Gulf beaches and University Town Center. The club features two exceptional 18-hole championship golf courses: The Champions Course and The Lakes Course. The Champions Course, originally designed by renowned architect Dick Wilson in 1957, was thoughtfully updated by architect Michael Benkusky in 2021. The Lakes Course, designed by acclaimed architect Joe Lee, recently underwent a comprehensive renovation and celebrated its reopening in December 2025. The agronomy team operates with a collaborative structure where each Assistant Superintendent has primary responsibility for one course while remaining cross-trained across both courses. Position Overview Facility: 36-hole private country club (The Lakes Course & The Champions Course) Recent Project: The Lakes Course fully renovated and reopened two months ago Grass Types: TifEagle Bermudagrass – Greens | Bimini Bermudagrass – Tees, Fairways & Rough Equipment & Irrigation: Baroness & John Deere equipment fleet | Toro Lynx irrigation system Team & Salary: 38 full-time maintenance staff | $70,000–$75,000 annual salary Palm Aire Country Club is seeking a full-time motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing and maintaining one of the Club’s two golf courses and its associated grounds. The position plays an important leadership role in maintaining exceptional daily playing conditions and tournament-quality presentation. Responsibilities include course setup, agronomic programs, irrigation management, staff supervision, equipment operation and regulatory compliance.
