Position Overview: The Assistant General Sales Manager will support the daily operations of our sales department, assist in the development and execution of sales strategies, and help manage and motivate our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader with a passion for automotive sales and team development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive dealership, with at least 2 years in a sales management or supervisory role.
  • Proven success in generating revenue and driving showroom traffic.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, market trends, and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in hiring, training, and coaching new and experienced sales staff to achieve their goals.
  • Support in scheduling, staffing, and directing the activities of the sales department to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Work with the General Sales Manager to set department and individual sales goals; provide guidance and support to help salespeople achieve targets.
  • Monitor performance, offer coaching, and develop improvement programs for team members who need additional support to meet objectives.
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring stock levels meet customer demand, and help the team close deals efficiently.
  • Ensure dealership policies, processes, and compliance with regulations are followed by the sales team.
  • Foster a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation across all departments, working closely with management and staff to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Co-lead regular sales meetings to motivate and update the team on goals, strategies, and market trends.
