About The Position

The core mission of the Assistant General Manager is to assist the General Manager in leading day-to-day operations of multiple warehouses, while maintaining the exceptionally high standards of Red Stag Fulfillment by ensuring volume, financial, and quality standards are maintained or improved, sustaining appropriate staffing levels, mentoring employees throughout the warehouse, and managing multiple departments. About the Role: The world of eCommerce is moving at lightning speed, and that pace of change requires an enthusiastic team member who has a servant leadership mentality, a keen eye for detail, experience developing high-performance leadership teams, and a demonstrated ability to make data-based decisions. These skills will be critical for the role of Assistant General Manager at Red Stag Fulfillment. In addition, the Assistant General Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in setting and maintaining appropriate staffing levels and coaching and mentoring Operations Managers and Operations Supervisors.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or 10 years’ experience in a logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse operational leadership role or with commensurate experience at Red Stag.
  • Strong sense of urgency with proven ability to multi-task.
  • Proven record of training and maintaining safety standards.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Basic Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of the concept of Standard Work.
  • Demonstrated ability to make data-based decisions through analytics- and KPI-focused leadership.
  • Ability to hire, coach, and mentor groups and individuals.

  • Prior eCommerce experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in owning full responsibility of the facility, which will include financial, operations, personnel, and client success.

  • Assist the General Manager in owning 100% of the operational activities of the warehouses including, but not limited to, the outbound, inbound, inventory, kitting, and LTL departments.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining KPIs for each department.
  • Improve operational efficiencies of the warehouses at your facility.
  • Improve key operational efficiency metrics that ensure client satisfaction and profitable growth.
  • Prioritize safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements to standard processes.
  • Measure space, equipment, and labor utilization.
  • Achieve and maintain 100% accuracy in inventory.
  • Assist in keeping departments appropriately staffed and assist in reducing turnover.
  • Ensure SOPs for each department are established, documented, trained, followed, and maintained.
  • Establish, maintain, and utilize metrics for decision making.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization with a focus on developing problem solving in others
  • Be a team player, willing to help in other areas of the organization as needed.
