About The Position

Join the team at River Sands KOA Holiday RV Resort – Ehrenberg, AZ as our next Assistant General Manager and help lead an exceptional outdoor hospitality experience in the heart of the Arizona desert. This is not a desk job — it’s a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in an active, fast-paced environment. As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work side-by-side with the General Manager to oversee daily resort operations, support team development, and ensure every guest enjoys the welcoming, high-quality experience KOA is known for. From walking the property and engaging with guests to supporting front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance, you’ll lead by example and jump in wherever needed. In this role, you’ll balance guest service excellence with strong financial and operational management. You’ll assist with budgeting, payroll oversight, and expense control while helping drive revenue through thoughtful rate management, local marketing efforts, community outreach, and brand initiatives. Your ability to connect operational performance with financial results will directly impact the resort’s success. Responsibilities

  • Assists the general manager with the operational and financial management of the property. Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
  • Verifies that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
  • Verifies that all team members meet or exceed all brand requirements.
  • Takes action on guest and resident requests seeking resolution.
  • Delivers and leads strong customer service and operational practices. Enforces resort rules and standards.
  • Assists RV Resort General Manager with administrative duties and tasks.
  • Works shifts and supports various departments as needed.
  • Assists with the associate life cycle of recruiting, hiring, training, coach, counseling and mentoring. Supervises associates in the assigned department(s).
  • Assists with delivering profitable results and operating within budgeted guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations. Maintains current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
  • Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the Resort.
  • Meets goals for projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures security of the resort’s assets.
  • Remains current on business trends and local activities.
  • Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement.
  • Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Operates company golf cart and/or truck.
  • Must have flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Works a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
