About The Position

As the Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, you will play a critical leadership role in managing and optimizing operations across a large-scale manufacturing plant with approximately 250 employees. You will drive efficiency, cost control, and production excellence while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This position directly supports the plant's success and contributes to MacLean-Fogg's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

  • Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and strategic planning

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or other high-volume manufacturing industries
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Hands-on experience leading large-scale continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across production, maintenance, logistics, and cost control functions
  • Lead and support department managers to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, productivity, and resource management
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Conduct safety audits and resolve compliance issues quickly and effectively
  • Manage plant budgets, cost accounting, and financial performance reporting
  • Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures to optimize plant operations
  • Prepare and present reports on plant performance, production schedules, and operational metrics
  • Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and career development of plant personnel
  • Promote 5S principles to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
