About The Position

The purpose of this position is to plan, direct and coordinate the work of food manufacturing employees, resulting in safe operation on all shifts, producing high quality products on-time, and motivating the workforce. Ensure optimal level company performance and assist to design all continuous improvement activities and maintain process control.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years in food production required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of managers and employees engaged in the production of food products.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership practices including setting clear goals with managers and employees, providing regular feedback, and contributing to a positive and motivational work environment.
  • Work with Maintenance and Engineering to develop strategies to reduce production equipment downtime due to equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with various departments and personnel across the site to ensure efficient operations within the plant
  • Assume complete responsibility for all activities of the plant and performance.
  • Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
  • Provide overall project management support to ensure objectives are met
  • Build a competent team by communicating corporate objectives and expectations to direct reports.
  • Enforce plant GMP’s, Food Safety policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations. SQF, general plant housekeeping and organization.
