About The Position

The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager to ensure the seamless operation of the hotel. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities across multiple departments, ensuring high standards of hospitality, safety, and operational efficiency. The Assistant General Manager contributes to strategic planning, staff development, and financial management to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction. Ultimately, this role drives continuous improvement by identifying and solving operational challenges while maintaining compliance with safety procedures and cost controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in hotel management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
  • Proven knowledge of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of yield management and cost control principles.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulatory compliance in the hospitality industry.

  • Certification in hospitality management or related professional credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple departments effectively.
  • Experience with hotel management software and property management systems.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
  • Oversee department heads and staff, providing leadership, training, and support to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Implement and monitor yield management strategies to optimize room occupancy and revenue.
  • Manage food costs and inventory control in collaboration with the food and beverage team to maintain budgetary goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Identify operational problems promptly and develop effective solutions to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold hotel standards and guest satisfaction.
