About the Role: Rifle Paper Co. is looking for an Assistant Fulfilment Manager, Independents. This is a hands on leadership role based in Maitland Florida supporting the daily execution of fulfillment operations for our Independent Retail channel. You will translate demand into efficient picking, packing and shipping outcomes ensuring orders leave our facility accurately and on time. Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager, Wholesale, you will focus on frontline supervision, workflow coordination, and real-time problem solving. You will partner closely with the team lead to monitor performance, adjust labor allocation, and drive operational consistency. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4+years of warehouse experience with at least 2 yrs of people management experience required.
  • Working knowledge of operational metrics, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to interpret schedules, SOPs, and workflow documentation.
  • Familiarity with Ship Station, required.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Must have flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, or extended hours as required by operational demands.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day fulfillment execution for the independent Retail channel.
  • Ensure order accuracy, on time shipping, and adherence to service expectations.
  • Monitor daily volume trends and adjust labor allocation to meet productivity and SLA targets.
  • Track and review KPIs including productivity, throughput, and accuracy.
  • Identify operational risks and escalate issues that could impact customer commitments.
  • Partner with the Fulfillment Manager, Wholesale to analyze performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Directly supervisor a team of frontline Fulfillment Associates.
  • Set clear expectations around performance, attendance, and quality standards.
  • Provide coaching, real-time feedback, and performance documentation as needed.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and cross-training to build bench strengths and flexibility.
  • Manage scheduling, time-off approvals, and attendance tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
