About The Position

This posting is for a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. The position is responsible for assisting in administration of all areas related to the success of a Division II football program and promoting intercollegiate athletics at the University of Findlay. Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and abide by all NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations. Failure to do so may lead to suspension or possible termination. Attend all NCAA Compliance meetings as offered by the department; successfully complete the NCAA DII University Modules annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two or more years of coaching experience.
  • Experience and knowledge in working with student athletes.
  • Experience and knowledge in evaluating football players.
  • Knowledge and understanding in regards to the game of football.
  • Public relations and promotion skills.
  • Knowledge of University and department policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and G-MAC rules and regulations, including recruiting, eligibility and certification.
  • Knowledge and skill related to strength and conditioning.
  • A valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Offensive Coordinator.
  • Wide Receivers / Tight Ends Coach.
  • Recruiting.
  • Supervising academic progress of student-athletes.
  • Scouting opponents.
  • Planning, management, and evaluation of football practice.
  • Developing strategy and bench coaching during games.
  • Assist Head Coach with game plan and coaching.
  • Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.
