ROLE SUMMARY: The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the daily operations of Hotel Drover’s restaurant, bar, and room service outlets by leading service execution, supporting team members, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role partners closely with restaurant leadership to uphold brand standards, service culture, and financial objectives while fostering a collaborative, engaging, and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or related service environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and engage team members effectively.
  • Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality experience.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic financial/labor management principles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated passion for hospitality, people development, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management and operation of restaurant, bar, and room service outlets to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise floor operations during peak service periods, providing hands-on leadership and support to service teams.
  • Support hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching of restaurant team members.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to service standards, grooming expectations, safety procedures, and Hotel Drover’s hospitality culture.
  • Monitor guest experience throughout service; proactively engage with guests to gather feedback and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and local/state regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Culinary and Restaurant leadership to communicate food quality, service flow, and operational needs.
  • Support inventory management, ordering, storage standards (FIFO), and cost control initiatives.
  • Participate in department meetings and communicate departmental goals clearly and consistently to the team.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service, efficiency, quality, and team engagement.
  • All other duties as assigned.
