About The Position

The Assistant Aquatics Facility Supervisor assists in overseeing the daily operations of the aquatic facility. This role supports the Aquatics Facility Supervisor in ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting in facility maintenance, and implementing safety protocols. The Assistant Supervisor will collaborate with the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and other team members to maintain high service standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Current ARC Lifeguard Certification and CPR Certification.
  • Previous experience in facility management or aquatics operations is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to aquatic facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to oversee facility operations and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in aquatic environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in facility management or aquatics operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the aquatic facility, including pool schedules and staff assignments.
  • Support the supervision and training of lifeguard staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment and amenities.
  • Collaborate with the CPO to monitor water quality and maintain compliance with health standards and regulations.
  • Help develop and implement training programs related to safety, emergency response, and customer service.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns effectively, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
  • Assist in budgeting and managing expenditures related to facility upkeep and staff operations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate special events, swim programs, and assigned community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility operations, incidents, and staff performance.
  • Step in as acting supervisor in the absence of the Aquatics Facility Supervisor.
