About The Position

Reporting to the Sr. Security Manager / Facility Security Officer (FSO), the AFSO partners closely with the Sr. Security Manager and collaborates across all security verticals, including counterintelligence, insider threat, FOCI, physical security, and the Security Shared Services Center. The AFSO supports a team of FSOs and AFSOs, ensuring consistent compliance, operational excellence, and readiness across all industrial security responsibilities. This position is located in Fairfax, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities: . DD 254 Lifecycle Management: Ensure all DD 254s are accurately captured within the CMS system; process amendments, retire obsolete packages, and maintain alignment with NISS requirements. . Inspection Ready Documentation: Assist in maintaining all required security documents—KMP lists, SF 328, DD 441/441 1, courier cards, visit logs—ensuring they remain continuously inspection ready. . Industrial Security Business Partner: Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned Business Unit, fielding requests, concerns, and issues and routing them to the appropriate Industrial Security team. Responsibilities include proposal lifecycle support, reviewing and approving security related language in RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to ensure accuracy and compliance. . Sector Briefings: Deliver clear, concise briefings to both cleared and non-cleared personnel on security requirements, processes, and obligations. . Self-Inspection Program: Assist in the semiannual self-inspections, document findings, track and close corrective actions, and support efforts to maintain a superior DCSA rating. . Contract Alignment: Ensure DD 254s and associated security requirements remain fully aligned with contractual obligations throughout the contract lifecycle. . Cross Functional Coordination: Work closely with the Security Shared Services Center on personnel clearances, MRPTs, foreign travel reporting, FOCI reviews, and SF 312 processing. . Document Preparation: Draft, route, and prepare industrial security documentation requiring VP Industrial Security review and approval. . Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industrial security experience, as an FSO/AFSO at a possessing facility
  • Active FSO certification
  • Demonstrated agility and ability to pivot effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • DCSA Superior security review rating with in the last 2 years
