Supervises the repair and maintenance of facility, systems and grounds with consideration to staff and student security and safety so that facility is operational. What You'll Do: Assistant Custodian Level I – IV is determined by assignment type (e.g., elementary, combined site, high school, multi-site) and Facility Management Communicate and coordinate with school staff, students, and community members in alignment with District Success Factors Maintain facility security by locking doors, windows, and gates; report unsafe conditions or needed repairs Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, drinking fountains, cafeterias, and other facility areas; gather and dispose of trash Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, sealing, and polishing Safely use chemicals and power equipment; remove graffiti, gum, and other markings, applying protective coatings as needed Inspect and clean equipment, air vents, and filters; perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs to building systems, furniture, and fixtures Conduct a variety of grounds work and assist with pool maintenance in compliance with district and safety codes Move and assemble furniture, distribute supplies, and prepare spaces for scheduled events or activities Supervise, assign, and train custodial staff; support or act in place of the Facility Manager when required Perform other related duties as assigned What You’ll Need: High School Diploma/GED Eighteen years or older. Completion of District specific training or equivalent required for all levels. Must successfully complete District new employee training within 90 days of start date. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
