Facility Assistant

About The Position

The Facility Assistant supports the maintenance and upkeep of the company’s buildings, warehouses, and production facilities. This role assists with monitoring facility conditions, identifying issues or damage, and coordinating or performing minor repairs as needed. The Facility Assistant also supports facility improvements and upgrades to help ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license required
3–5 years of maintenance experience preferred, with exposure to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry
Basic experience supporting facility operations and maintenance
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to make sound decisions with limited information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Logical and practical problem-solving skills
Ability to read and understand basic floor plans
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications

Nice To Haves

Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory management software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and minor building repairs, including painting and small alteration projects
Perform basic electrical lighting maintenance, including replacing bulbs, tubes, and ballasts
Patch, repair, and paint drywall; assist with installing interior artwork and fixtures
Repair or assist with repairs to furniture and basic woodwork
Adjust, maintain, and repair interior and exterior doors
Assist with maintaining and repairing locks
Support inspections and testing of fire protection and generator systems
Maintain plumbing fixtures and assist with restroom repairs
Install and reconfigure modular workstations
Report facility issues promptly and coordinate repairs with vendors or internal teams as needed
