About The Position

Valiant is looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team!  This position supports Undersea Warfighting Development Center (UWDC) San Diego CA.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with facilities maintenance to include building management, coordination with government and contractor staffs (e.g. NAVFAC), and facilities repairs.
  • Knowledge and experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and retesting failed facility equipment using a logical systematic method.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft calendar services, scheduling meetings and events for staff members.
  • Knowledge of audio/video operating systems, life cycle support, VTC networking operating systems.
  • Knowledge of diagnosing IT problems, HDMI display issues, testing Audio/Video equipment.
  • Knowledge of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Program.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated superior attention to detail, coupled with a proven history of working issues with other staff members, understanding their requirements, and the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to drive government vehicles, must have a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in duties of Facilities Manager, Building Monitor, Fire Warden, Hazardous Material Communication Program Coordinator, Parking Coordinator, Terminal Control Officer, Video Teleconference (VTC) Manager, and Assistant Supply Clerk, Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) / DLA Disposition Services program.
  • Assist in coordinating and managing installation and repairs of command infrastructure, security systems, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), VTC, plumbing, telephones, power, computer workstations, telephone services, furniture, and equipment.
  • Assist in duties supporting physical and information infrastructure, configuration management and maintenance, improvements, standard processes and procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement and maintain solutions to ensure facilities are compliant with all Navy and Federal safety regulations and pass quarterly and annual inspections such as Regional Safety.
  • Inspect facilities on a frequent and regular basis, identify potential problems, recommend and implement corrective actions to ensure the proper operations of the facility and systems.
  • Liaison with energy managers, contractors, base commanders.
  • Initiate and track trouble calls, associated costs, and response times to resolution.
  • Manage facility upgrades, draft Information Technology Procurement Requests for contractual cost.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
