About The Position

Assistant Educator – Toddler Room (Full-Time) Grow with us—and help little ones take their very first big steps! Are you nurturing, patient, and passionate about early childhood development? We’re looking for a caring and energetic Assistant Educator to join our Toddler Room team! In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with other educators to create a safe, loving, and enriching environment where toddlers can explore, play, and learn. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference during one of the most important stages of a child’s development.

Requirements

  • Loves working with toddlers and understands their unique needs and milestones.
  • Has a warm, engaging personality and strong communication skills.
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs and physically engage in floor-based play and care routines.
  • Has or is willing to obtain up-to-date clearances, CPR/First Aid certification, and health assessment.
  • Is eager to learn and grow through professional development and ongoing training.
  • A high school diploma or a GED certificate and 30 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field;
  • OR a high school diploma or a GED certificate, and 15 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of documented experience with children;
  • OR a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of documented experience working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and leading developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers.
  • Engage in hands-on play and learning experiences that promote growth in all areas—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.
  • Help maintain a consistent daily routine, including circle time, story time, meals, naps, and outdoor play.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and encouraged.
  • Maintain communication with families through notes, newsletters, and daily updates.
  • Keep accurate records such as lesson plans, attendance, and developmental assessments.
  • Supervise and interact closely with children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist with classroom organization and upkeep, keeping materials clean and child-friendly.
  • Help with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines while encouraging independence.
